Pavagadh Mandir to contribute Rs. 27 crore to development project

Gujarat Government is going ahead with a public private partnership(PPP) model for the development of pilgrim places. Accordingly, the government has planned Rs. 73 crore development project for Pavagadh.

As per the project details, Shri Kalka Mata Mandir Trust has contribute 30% cost. The trust is going to present Rs. 8.10 crore cheque as first installment soon. The cheque will be presented to Minister Saurabh Patel in Gandhinagar according to Trustee Durgesh Upadhyay. The total amount to be contributed by the trust is Rs. 27 crore.

Sharing the details of the Rs. 73 crore development works, Upadhyay said Rs. 19 crore will be spent for dome and garbha griha of mandir, Rs. 5.44 crore for mandir campus, Rs. 29.90 crore will be spent for roads and water body. Moreover new food court, toilet block at every 750 meter distance from Manchi, drinking water facility at every 500 meter distance, benches, chowk development in Manchi, water supply and open drainage are planned under the project.

The government has segregated mandirs into ‘A’ and ‘B’ grades. Development works will be executed as per the local needs.
