Two women involved in a fender-bender were spotted intentionally lying side-by-side on a busy street in Yuzhou, Henan province in order to prove the other was at fault on June 19.
Photos of the incident show local police at the scene where the women, one young and the other middle-aged, lying on the side of the road and surrounded by onlookers.
Witnesses claimed the dispute began after the older woman rode her bike into the young woman's car parked along the road, according to the post that first appeared on a Baidu forum.
A foot chase ensued when the biker attempted to flee the scene.
With the car owner gaining fast, the older woman saw no other option than to lay down on the ground.
The younger woman, in an attempt to argue her case, laid down by her side.
The photos quickly went viral after another Net user claiming to be a Yuzhou police officer reposted the photos on Sina Weibo.
Yuzhou police said they are investigating the case and refused to disclose further details.
