J Kumar Infraprojects Bags Rs 700-Crore Project in Rajasthan

Infrastructure major J Kumar Infraprojects said it has bagged orders worth Rs 700 crore for building a hospital and medical college at Alwar in Rajasthan.

"We have secured orders for construction of an Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital and Medical College at Alwar. The 500-bed hospital and medical college project will be a Rs 700-crore project and the work will start soon," J Kumar Infraprojects managing director Kamal Gupta told PTI in Mumbai.

The company, which has executed a number of building and flyover works and other infrastructure projects, said it has projects worth Rs 4,000 crore in its kitty.

"We have projects worth Rs 4,000 crore in-hand and are looking at various fund raising options for our expansion plans," Mr Gupta said.

The company, he said, has now entered into the work of Metro Rail project in Navi Mumbai.

"Recently, we have secured orders for one metro project for CIDCO (City and Industrial Development Corporation) at Navi Mumbai. Among the other major projects in-hand, we are constructing elevated bridge for Delhi Metro, which is expected to cost Rs 1,700 crore."

The company has also secured a Rs 600-crore project for water transport in Mumbai, he said, adding that the company has no plans to enter into real estate construction space and are concentrating on mega infrastructure projects only.

On future prospects, Mr Gupta said, "The government has given priority to infrastructural growth, which has helped infrastructure projects sector grow phenomenally over the past five years."

"We believe, the key drivers in the infrastructure industry are - timely completion and quality execution. Our teams are capable of taking up technically challenging and diverse nature of infrastructure projects," he added.
