2 Vapi gang rape accused caught

SURAT: Valsad police have arrested two youths for their alleged involvement in the gang rape of two women labourers on Wednesday morning. Jayesh alias Jayu H. Patel, 23, and Vipul B. Patel, 20, with their three friends had allegedly dragged the two 18-year-old women from Chota Udepur to the second floor of an under construction building at Charwada village near Vapi town in Valsad district and gang raped them.Both the accused, who were arrested on Thursday night, are residents of Charwada behind Ramzanwadi.
The three other accused in the case are yet to be arrested. All the accused are bootleggers and run a liquor business in the area. The five accused had reached the under construction site at Charwada with sticks and charged the labourers with stealing their liquor hidden in nearby bushes. They beat up the labourers before dragging the two women to the second floor of the building.
