Guess what Kim Kardashian and Courtney Love have in common: being muses!

Before Riccardo Tisci styled, and received inspiration from, the reality TV star, there was Courtney Love, the rocker herself says. Love, who is about to turn 50, is still just as outspoken as when she first became noticed.

Kardashian, 33, is arguably at the height of her notoriety. She’s been tied to the French designer for some time now and he even designed her (most recent) wedding dress for her marriage to Kanye West.

While Love didn’t necessarily have anything disparaging to say about the queen of reality television, she did want everyone to know that she was the first one to inspire Tisci.

In an interview with Style.com, she explained, “His first muse out the gate was me!”

“I met Riccardo downstairs at the Ritz Hotel in Paris, and he told me he wanted me as his muse. I’m like, ‘Givenchy’s muses have been Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O!’ “

But their apparent time together was short-lived, and Love said it was because of her weight fluctuating. Less eloquently she said: “… I got fat! Then I got on Atkins and I wasn’t fat anymore, so I could wear sample.”

Even though the “Hole” singer was able to win in the battle against the bulge, she said her “dear friend” is no longer interested in working with her.

“Riccardo doesn’t make stuff for me anymore,” Love said. “He found Kim [Kardashian]! But I still love Riccardo.”

Her feelings on Tisci and Kardashian are just a fragment of her interview with Style.com. She also talked about her disdain for flower crowns, the most reliable designer she works with, competing with A-list celebrities for gowns and her online shopping addiction.
