Business support at local festival [Herald Express (UK)]


(Herald Express (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) PLANS are well underway for the South Devon Business Festival which takes place on Friday, July 18.

As well as showcasing all of the different types of business support, the event will include presentations from experts in their field providing practical advice and guidance on a range of topics including sales and marketing, social media and sources of finance.



Attending the event will be the Princess Trust, Fredericks Foundation, South Devon College, Job Centre Plus, Torbay Social Enterprise Network, the Federation of Small Businesses, Torbay Business Forum and Re:work Social Enterprise.

Registration starts at 8.30am when the exhibition opens and presentations will take place throughout the mor ning.


A complementary buffet lunch will be provided and the chance to network. There will also be an opportunity to see the new state of the art South West Energy Centre at South Devon College.

The South Devon Business Festival is being supported by the Torbay Development Agency, Torbay Council, Outset Torbay and South West Investment Group.

TDA Economy and Enterprise Manager, Carl Wyard said: "The South Devon Business Festival is another important event in the TDA's business support calendar.

"It will be a great opportunity to understand the types of support which are available, get free practical advice and network with other people who are thinking of setting up a business and those who have already done so."
