GETCO engineer caught taking bribe

RAJKOT: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Rajkot division, trapped Vipin Rai, executive engineer of Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO), Dhasa division of Botad district, while he was allegedly taking bribe in his chamber on Tuesday. ACB officials caught Vipin Rai when he allegedly accepted bribe of Rs 50,000 from Gitesh Solanki, a resident of Rajkot, sources said.
Rai had demanded bribe to pass Solanki's bills pending with GETCO. Solanki registered a complaint with ACB and a trap was laid at Rai's chamber in Dhasa, sources said.
