Salman Khan

Now that everyone's had a look at the trailer of Salman Khan's next release Kick, we can all sit back in our chairs and go through this, frame by frame.

The opening scene of the trailer reveals grim weather reminiscent of similar weather conditions in Dhoom 3. For that matter even a little bit of Krrish 3. Not only that, there's bikes, masks and some wicked stunts as well.

First there's Salman Khan's mask which really stands out considering he's never really worn one in any of his movies. Also because not too long ago there was Krrish 3 that featured a masked superhero (Hrithik Roshan).

Did you also manage to take in the bird's eye view of Salman performing stunts while riding a bicycle. This bicycle transforms in to a full blown manly bike in one blink-and-miss shot. Can we please talk about the pink suede elephant in the room? Say hello to Aamir Khan from Dhoom 3. Or is that Salman? It's all so similar.

But just in time to throw us off track, Salman and the makers managed to infuse some of that Dabangg flavour in to the story. The damsel in distress, the high-on-life hero/saviour, and some cops in uniform. In all fairness, it was an original formula that worked for him. So, why not add a wee bit of that flavour here.

A wee bit of the ol' Dabangg flavour.

And while moving through the fast-paced trailer, if you can, try and shift your focus from the male lead to the female lead (more like sidekick. Oh, Bollywood) do also see Jacqueline Fernandez suddenly transform in to a full-blown dancing goddess, quite like Katrina Kaif in Dhoom 3, toned legs et all.

So there's a little bit of Krrish 3, Dhoom 3 and plenty Dabangg. Like Salman's character (the Devil) keeps repeating, this all is for a bit of some much-needed Kick.
