New Delhi based couturier Mayyur Girotra, who made a successful foray into Mumbai in April this year with his flagship store at Khar, is ready with his new line for men. And Mayuur has chosen, Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan’s suave sons Amaan and Ayaan to be representing his latest collection.
Mayyur’s new line of kurtas, bandhgalas, shirts and jackets have been created in lightweight, supremely comfortable cottons and linen, without compromising on fit, style and finish.
According to Mayyur, “Todays metrosexual man has to make a statement anywhere in the world he may be. The scorching heat could be a dampener. However this line for men has been created in a way that masterfully blends practicality with edgy looks, and is perfect for summer / monsoon weddings and other special occasions.”
Playing Mayyurs muse for this collection are none other than music maestros and brothers Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan. “Amaan, Ayaan and I go back a long way since i have been designing for them since a few years now. They made for the perfect clotheshorses for my designs,” adds Mayyur.
Chic, fashionforward and yet always classic and Indian at heart, Amaan and Ayaan have the perfect personality to showcase Mayyurs designs. Highlights of Mayyur Girotras line for men would be simplicity, minimal detailing with tasteful embroideries.
