Realistic works with a twist

All set to display his works from tomorrow at the Jehangir Art Gallery, Sangli-based, contemporary artist Anand Mali’s latest exhibition, titled Journey, is an amalgamation of his most recent paintings.
“I work in realistic style using acrylic colours on canvas. My upcoming show comprises my life experiences over a period of time during my art journey. A human being undergoes various stages in his life and often faces problem and different complex situations.Sometimes, he faces good times while some experiences are bad. Each and every one of us goes through these experiences, with various outcomes and emotions. Feelings of happiness, joy anxiety, sadness depend on one’s approach and attitude during that time. My present series is an endeavour based on such mixed experiences in life. As a result, one always finds many sentiments for individual characters or groups in relevant arenas like hope, optimism, sadness, anxiety etc. I hope my works will render a different visual experience to viewers through my expressive dialogue,” says the artist.
