He was not only the chief of his tribe, which is the largest tribe in Balochistan, but was also a great idealist and humanist, they said in their condolences messages on Wednesday, while speaking to The Express Tribune.
“Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, educated at Aitcheson College, Lahore, Nawab Khair Bakhsh Khan Marri opted to follow the teachings of Marx, Lenin and Mao and sought to struggle for a federal Pakistan based on local and regional equity and harmony,” Hussain said.
Essentially a peaceful man, Nawab Khair Bakhsh was unforgiving in the face of cruelty and arbitrariness.
“His passing is a massive loss for his family, the Marri tribe, the impoverished people of Balochistan and all those who think of Pakistan as a nation in pursuit of the goals of progress, learning and justice,” they said.
