New Nissan Navara Black Edition – 2017 Bangkok Motor Show

New Nissan Navara will be offered in a choice of two colours – Red and Black. On the outside, Navara features aluminium finish on the front grille, foglight casing, door handles, side view mirrors, and on the side running boards. Exterior design is complemented by a clever mix of concave and convex curves, giving the new Navara an impressive look.

On the inside, Navara features the same aluminium finish noticed on the exteriors. This can be seen on the steering wheel, centre console, and arm rest. Seats feature finely stitched leather. The instrument panel now features a hi-res TFT display along with analogue speedometer, tachometer, engine temp and fuel gauge. The TFT display will show real time information like distance to empty, speed, mileage, temperature, turn by turn navigation, and much more.

Other features on offer the new Nissan Navara include rear ac vents, airbags, ABS, on the fly shift to 4×4 mode from 4×2 mode, VDC- vehicle dynamic control, HSA – hill start assist, HDC – hill decent assist, ABLS – active brake limited slip and much more.

Engine options on offer the new Navara includes two tunes of 2.5l DOHC diesel mill and a 2.5l DOHC petrol. Both engines feature four cylinders, and deliver more power with improved fuel efficiency. Power output of Nissan Navara diesel is at 161 hp @ 3,600 rpm and 403 Nm @ 2,000 rpm, while for the other tune it is at 188 hp and 450 Nm for the same rpm’s. Transmission of power to the wheels is taken care by either a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed automatic gearbox. Both, 2WD and 4WD variants are on offer.

Nissan Navara pickup will not be launched in India, but there is a chance that Nissan India might considering launching a seven seater full sized SUV based on the Navara, which will compete with the existing Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Hyundai Santa Fe, and SsangYong Rexton.
