Grassley calls GIPSA rider in House bill ‘ill-advised’

The House and Senate are currently advancing their versions of the fiscal 2015 Ag Appropriations bills. Both bills are ready for floor debate in each chamber.

The House bill contains a policy rider—known as the GIPSA rider—which opponents say would limit the rulemaking authority of the Secretary of Agriculture under the Packers and Stockyards Act.

In a conference call Tuesday morning with ag reporters, Iowa Senator Charles Grassley called the GIPSA rider in the House bill “ill-advised”.

  • If you want to know why Cantor was taken out of the republican primary? The leadership of the republican party is selling out the average American and the farmers who feed them with actions like these.

Orange should be the new black for over half of Congress and the federal judges who are supporting the frauds for their crony capitalists in industry like Tyson.
