A sportsperson was found dead in a coach of Jammu-Tatanagar Muri Express at Azamgarh station on Sunday fuelling rumors that he died due to thirst as there was no water in the coach tank.

VARANASI: A sportsperson was found dead in a coach of Jammu-Tatanagar Muri Express at Azamgarh station on Sunday fuelling rumors that he died due to thirst as there was no water in the coach tank. The railway administration, however, has claimed he succumbed to heat stroke.
According to reports, the incident took place in coach S-7 of Jammu-Tatanagar Muri Express in which a sportsman, Mohd Azharuddin, was travelling.
A native of Jamshedpur, the deceased was a power lifter and was returning after participating in a sports competition in Ambala city. He lost his life in between Allahabad and Mirzapur railway stations on Sunday evening.
His co-passengers alleged that he died due to thirst as the tpperature was unbearable and there was no water in the tank of the coach since Sunday morning.
