Funding Roundup: Touchtalent, Bombay Shirt Company and FortunePay

touchtalentTouchTalent raises funding from SAIF Partners and other angel investors

Creative marketplace, Touchtalent has raised seed funding of around $700,000 from SAIF Partners along with 15 angel investors including Deep Kalra, Founder of Makemytrip; Sachin & Binny Bansal, Co-Founders of Flipkart; Prashant Malik Co-creator of Cassandra; Amit Ranjan, Co-Founder of Slide Share; among others. The company plans to use the funding to build on the team, product and expand in other geographies.

Started in 2012 by Mohd Wassem and Ankit Prasad, TouchTalent is an online marketplace for creative talent to showcase and monetize their works. The company claims to push for global visibility through its initiatives like theme-based, monthly online exhibition and country pages.

The company had previously raised investment from Urbantouch founder Abhishek Goyal and former Ranbaxy director Dr. Rakshita Sharma in early 2013.

FortunepayFortunePay raises investment from KAE Capital, Mumbai Angels and Growx

E-payment solutions startup, FortunePay has raised under $1 million from KAE Capital, Mumbai Angels and Growx Venture Management, reports TechCircle. The company plans to use the investment for  platform certification and product deployment.

Started in 2011 by Murthy and Shashidhar P, the company had previously raised a round of investment from KAE Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners in May 2012.

FortunePay offers a range of e-payment platform and services under the name of Paavati including payment terminals, dial-up, mobile, m-PoS, among others.

Online custom shirt retailer, Bombay Shirt Company has raised an undisclosed sum of seed funding from Amit and Arihant Patni, sons of Patni Computer co-founder Gajendra Patni, reports TechCircle. The amount raised will be used on scaling.

Started in May 2012 by Akshay Narvekar, Bombay Shirt Company offers custom made shirts that customers can pick from their range of designs in different colours and fabrics, for both men and women. Customers may also choose provide their own designs to custom make the shirt. Customers also have the option of fixing a home visit to have their shirts designed. The company also has offline outlets in Nariman Point, Malad and the Fort in Mumbai.
