Int’l company to conduct feasibility study on BRT

AMMAN — The Transport Ministry and SYSTRA, an international engineering and consulting group specialised in public transport, signed an agreement on Saturday to conduct a feasibility study and design the detailed schematics for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project connecting Amman and Zarqa.
Funds for the project were provided by a grant from the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development for the Kingdom.
SYSTRA, along with Jordanian consulting company Dar Al Omran and a Kuwaiti company, were awarded the tender for the project out of eight qualified bidders.
