Ekhane Akash Neel and is currently working in popular Bengali soap,
Jol Nupur, is all set to make her big-screen debut.
Mrinmoy Saha's upcoming flick,
Nirmok, will see this dusky beauty play Mohua, a young girl from Purulia. The film focuses on the socio-political situation of
Purulia and how it affects the love story of two teenagers. The film also shows how the famous folk dance form,
Chhau, suffers and is on its decline.
Excited about her debut project, Priya said, ���
Nirmok won the best film award in Darbhanga International Film Festival 2014. Debesh Roy Chowdhury and Mani from down south are part of it. It was a great experience working with Debeshda as he was a continuous guide on the sets." She added that adapting the Purulia dialect was a tough task for her. On being asked about her upcoming projects, Priya said, ���I am taking it slow and though I have a few offers, nothing has been confirmed. I will only talk about it once things are finalized.���
