Happy days over: Ragini and Tanishaa ousted from Gangs of Husseepur?
Actresses Tanishaa Mukerji and Ragini Khanna have been ousted from the stand-up comedy show Gangs of Husseepur.
Actresses Tanishaa Mukerji and Ragini Khanna have been ousted from the stand-up comedy show Gangs of Husseepur. Tanishaa, who had hogged limelight post her participation in Bigg Boss, was out on her second venture in television by judging the comedy show. Ragini, on the other hand, was hosting the show which went on air this year on April 26.
Reportedly the show failed to grab much anticipated TRPs in the initial episodes causing changes in the format and structuring of the show.
Sources suggest that the production house was not satisfied with Tanishaa and Ragini's performance and expected more spontaneity from them.
However the channel has countered by saying that the decision was mutual and the new format did not require two juries. They cited date issues as the reason for retaining Mandira and not Tanishaa as the judge. Tanishaa's spokesperson said that she had signed up for 16 episodes and 10 had already been shot whereas Ragini apparently signed up for only eight episodes and had shot ten.
