The celebrations begin: Shaleen Malhotra’s friends and family had a blast on his pre-wedding youngsters’ party, which was hosted at a nightclub in the city on Saturday. Shaleen and his fiance Diksha Rampal danced together to songs like Tum Hi Ho and Pehli Nazar Mein, while others were busy clicking pictures of the much-in-love couple. Shaleen said, “My family’s here, so it was a given that I’d have a Delhi wedding.
There is nothing that can be compared to the charm of a Delhi Punjabi wedding. My Mumbai friends will be here with me.”
Road trip to Delhi: Shaleen’s closest buddy Suyyash Rai, who accompanied Shaleen on a road trip from Mumbai to Delhi, said, “He is my jaan, and I had to come here. In fact, Udit Singh, Sahil Anand, Shaleen and I, all of us had this road trip from Mumbai to Delhi just for fun. It was like a Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara road trip for us. It took us six days to reach Delhi, and we crossed Ranthambore, Ahmedabad, Ajmer Sharif and Bhangarh during this trip. Shaleen was the one who drove the most.”
Longest stay in Delhi: Kishwer S Merchantt, who had flown in from Mumbai for Shaleen’s wedding, revealed, “I have known Shaleen through Suyyash (who is her boyfriend), but it was during the BCL (Box Cricket League, a cricket tournament for TV actors) matches that I got to know Shaleen better. Earlier, I’d told Shaleen that I’d not be able to make it to his bachelors’ party, and he teased me by saying that Suyyash would be surrounded by beautiful girls. And I had to tell him to stop it. Everything worked out in the end, and I could make it to this party. I’m going to be here for five days, and this is also going to be my longest stay in Delhi.”
