CIIT opens new campus at Gawadar(Daily Patriot (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid, inaugurated a new campus of COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology (CIIT) on Friday. Addressing the inaugural ceremony as chief guest, the minister said market oriented disciplines would be taught to the students like Marine sciences, Geo physics, Information Technology, Management Sciences and Oceanography in the Gawadar Campus, said a news release issued here. He reiterated the commitment of the government and said development in the field of science and technology was the top priority of the present government. By the establishment of CIIT campus at Gawadar, a quality education would be provided to the students of Balochistan in their own province. He also offered scholarships for the Students of Balochistan at the CIIT main campus at Islamabad. The Chief Minister thanked the Minister for the generous offer and said that the Government of Balochistan would provide land and other facilities to materialized the noble idea of the federal government. In the ceremony Dr. Junaid Zadi, Rector CIIT and senior official of the ministry were also present. |
