Street Chic: Namita Boro

Namita Boro is nothing if not fashion-forward. The make-up artiste made quite the entrance at Brigade Road on a Wednesday evening. Boro, with her cornrows and attention-grabbing all black leather and lace outfit stood out, and she knew it. “When I walk down the road, some folks look at me differently,” she admitted, adding that she is from Istanbul.

Which is why she got a friend in Bangalore to do her hair to match the edgy outfit. Featuring lace panels on the neck and arms, a sheer skirt, and a leather panel to cinch in the waist, her outfit screamed adventurous. Admittedly, Boro loves dolling up. “But it is important to carry yourself well,” she added, before walking away to enjoy a cup of coffee with her friends. Are they as fashionable too?
