VCA umpires cricket match ends in a thrilling tie

NAGPUR: The annual exhibition cricket match of Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) umpires ended in a thrilling tie at the VCA Civil Lines ground here recently.
PG Pandit XI won the toss and opted to bat. They scored 137 for 6 in 18 overs. Vinod Ingle was the top-scorer with 28, while Sapan Chatterjee remained unbeaten on 25. For GD Bapat XI, Niraj Manjrekar, Milind Phatak, Naresh Waghmare, Anup Dighe, Pradip Pande and Saurabh Dhote took one wicket each.
Ratnakar Dani led the GD Bapat XI reply by slamming 39. However, they also finished on 137, though they lost only 3 wickets. Vinod Choudhary and Pundlik Masurkar scalped one wicket each for PG Pandit XI.
