I have heard a lot about Nithiin, says Mishti Chakraborty

Mishti Chakraborty, who'll pair up with Nithiin in Karunakaran's film, talks about her tryst with acting and Tollywood
I have heard a lot about Nithiin, says Mishti Chakraborty
Not too long ago, Mishti (Indrani) Chakraborty made her Bollywood debut with showman Subhash Ghais film Kaanchi. And now, the pretty girl is all set to charm Tollywood. Paired opposite lover boy Nithiin, the Bengali beauty will debut with director Karunakarans untitled next.
The pretty actress whos just one film old, is quite gung-ho about her Telugu debut.
Its a romantic entertainer with a thriller element in it. When the script was narrated to me, I instantly gave my nod because I really liked it. Also, I have heard a lot about my co-star Nithiin. So, Im pretty excited to work with him. Were set to start the shooting next month, she says.Ask her if she would be learning Telugu for the film, and pat comes the reply, Definitely. Right now, I dont know if my voice would be dubbed by somebody else, but I would love to learn the language to get my dialogues and lip sync perfect.
Born and brought up in Kolkata, Mishti used to be n English teacher till she got into the glamour world. Since the very beginning, I have been a very independent person and would hesitate to depend on my parents for money. When I was in Class X, I started my own coaching classes and used to teach English to school kids at our home, recalls Mishti, adding, One of my students was the daughter of documentary filmmaker Shobha Mitra. And through her, Shobha contacted me and asked if I would be interested in acting in one of her documentary films. So, thats how my acting career began, although I had never planned to become an actress.
Her spontaneous nature and instinctive decision-making landed her Subhash Ghais film. Although Kaanchi is my debut film, I finished shooting for Rupali Guhas Bengali movie Porichoy first. The movie is yet to release. Later, the makers of Porichoy were in talks with Subhash sir and recommended my name. Thats how I landed the film, reveals Mishti.
Subhash Ghai is known to rename the female leads of his films with M and there have been reports that he did the same for Mishti. Denying the reports, she says, Although my original name is Indrani, Mishti has been my nickname since childhood. The only fact is,when he came to know about both my names, he asked me which one I would like to retain and I had said Mishti. Everybody calls and knows me as Mishti, whereas Indrani is my given name and hardly anybody would call me by that name.
The pretty actress however, desires to be in the film industry for the long run and wants to take it easy. Im new to the industry, so Im very confused. Though its an advantage for me that I made my debut under the direction of Subhash sir, I want to take things easy and go slow right now. Id love to be part of more Telugu films if something good is offered in future. But Bollywood will always be my focus. Ive two more films with Subhash sir and under his mentorship, Ill definitely explore and learn more, she signs off.
