INDORE: Two-day annual dance and drama festival of Mridanga Lalit
Kala Samaj, 'Naad' started on Tuesday, with an amalgamation of classical and folk dances performed at Mai Mangeshkar Sabhagrah.
As many as 16 participants of the month-long dance workshop organized by Mridanga from April 23, accompanied by their trainer
Pallavi Bendre, presented dance forms of various states of the country.
Starting with Kathak dance performance, dancers performed Mayur dance, followed by Lavni.
A solo Kathak performance by Mudra Bendre and a theme dance on various seasons were the centre of attraction. Among the folk themes, Lavni of Maharashtra, Gangaur of Nimad and the folk dance of Rajasthan was also performed.
Dances were choreographed by Pallavi Bendre while the show was hosted by
Raj Bendre of Mridang Lalit Kala Samaj.
