Seasoned Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma has been omitted from his national team’s squad for 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Quaresma, who played for Turkish side Besiktas in 2010-2012, will miss the World Cup after Portugal's 23-man ultimate squad was confirmed by head coach Paulo Bento on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old has played in several major European clubs in his career such as Sporting Lisbon, Porto, Barcelona, Inter, and Chelsea.
Known for his dribbling finesse and long-range shots, he scored 10 goals and made 4 assists this season in 24 appearances with Porto.
