IIFT opens its centre at Jammu

JAMMU, May 17: International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) opened its Jammu Centre at 19 A/D Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The centre was formally inaugurated by ace socialite and Congress MLC, Rani Blowria by cutting the ribbon and lighting the traditional lamp. The centre is centrally located having good infrastructure and latest amenities, well equipped labs and experienced faculties.
Speaking on the occasion, Blowria  said, “We are committed to satisfy the identified needs of our students through development and implementation of quality management system”.
Director, IIFT Jammu Centre, Preeti Sultan, while speaking said that the Centre will give shape and dimension to the youth of Jammu, who want to make their future in fashion and designing. She informed that the centre provides 1, 2 and 3 years Diploma courses and 3 and 6 month’s Certificate courses in specified fields.
“Established in 1990, IIFT stands out as a beacon in the fashion ocean governing by world of fashion education. The institute has achieved a tremendous growth within a span of 22 yrs, under the professional expertise of Ratnadeep Lal, the leading fashion technologist and founder executive director of IIFT”, she maintained.
She told that IIFT provides specialized courses designed for fashion studies with special consideration to cater the requirement of garment Industry would over, courses offered  are fashion design, interior design, textile design, apparel merchandising, clothing management, accessory design, CAD  and many more.
