Geetha Shivarajkumar loses elections

Geetha Shivarajakumar, the wife of actor Shivarajamukar and also the daughter of former chief minister of Karnataka, S Bangarappa has lost her maiden Lok Sabha elections. She was perhaps the only politicians with Sandalwood connection who received support from people of the industry. A lot of film personalities had even gone to Shimoga, where she contested from to lend support and even help with her campaigning.
But things did not really work out for Geetha who lost the elections to none other than another former chief minister of Karnataka, BS Yedurappa. Geetha, who contested from a JDS ticket against Yedurappa of BJP and Manjunath Bhandari of Congress, lost with a good margin. In what seems to be a BJP dominated election results, Yedurappa defeated both Manjunath and Geetha and emerged the winner.
Now that the counting is on, it remains to be seen what other fate other film personalities meet with.
