There is not threat from anybody to Modi's electoral chances in Varanasi, said Amit Shah, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate's aide on Thursday.

He was asked if AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal could take away votes from Modi.

Modi, the Gujarat Chief Minister, filed his nomination papers from the Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh after a massive roadshow on Thursday.

Asked which Lok Sabha seat (Vadodara and Varanasi) would Modi vacate if he wins both, Shah, the party election strategist for UP, said: "After 16th of May, it will be known."

He said the next central government will be formed under Modi's leadership.

On the issue of the building of a Ram temple in Ayodhya, Shah said: "Whatever we want to do is clearly mentioned in manifesto."

"Modi always said the government will continue in line with BJP's principles," he said.
