The top four positions in a list of 10 most popular political videos on YouTube in India in March were occupied by videos that either featured or were about Arvind Kejriwal, Google India said in a statement on Wednesday.
Six of the top 10 videos were about the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader – in the form of news reports, spoofs or speeches, the statement said.
Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan’s speech at the launch of his Jana Sena Party was fifth on the popularity list, followed by Times Now editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami’s interview with Rahul Gandhi.
The list also featured a speech by cricketer-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu in Parliament, and Goswami’s interview with RJD chief Lalu Prasad.
“The popularity of… videos (including spoofs) on YouTube ascertains that people in India are not just taking keen interest in the current elections but also have a great appetite for politics related humour,” Google India said.
