HP has teamed up with Microsoft and Pearson to offer the Omni 10 Windows 8.1 tablet in India with embedded educational content. The main goal of this is to make ‘learning more engaging’ and the pre-loaded content is specifically for technical and management students.
Bundled with the HP Omni 10 are first semester Pearson study material and various goodies from Microsoft. The Mountain View giant has thrown in 10 e-books on developer tools, a 50 GB mailbox, 25GB of OneDrive Pro, access to developer tools and services via DreamSpark, and a Microsoft Certification MTA voucher which allows students to attend the Microsoft Certification Exam at Certi-Port authorized centers. There’s also a free copy of MS Office 2013 onboard.
The tablet is priced at Rs 29,999 and is being offered with 12 months of EMI for Rs 2,990 per month sans taxes. This Institute Offer will only be available till June 15. The HP Omni 10 falls in the 10.1-inch category and it offers a full Windows experience at an affordable price. The slate is powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor that can scale all the way up to 2.4GHz. The tablet has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front, while the remaining body is made from polycarbonate.
