This event saw former IPS officer-turned-writer Hariram Meena in conversation with author and educationist Durga Prasad Agarwal. Hariram, who grew up in the small village of Baman in Sawai Madhopur district, shared tales of his early life, his journey to becoming an IPS officer and his love for writing.
The event was Rajasthan Forum’s Desert Souls talk series, and since it was about the soul and heritage of the desert state, Hariram also spoke about how his posting in the tribal and dacoit-infested areas inspired him to write novels and poems.
He also read out some of the poems from his books. The event was well-attended.
Spotted at the event were art curator Sangeeta Juneja, sculptor Arjun Prajapati, poet Ikram Rajasthani, Sampat Saral, theatre person Sartaj Narayan Mathur and YK Narula.
