Matt Cartwright announced the awarding of a $37,858 Paul Coverdell National Forensic Science Improvement Act (NFSIA) grant to Monroe County by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).

The funds will be used to purchase a forensic computer and software, which will permit staff to perform a full forensic analysis and digital evidence recovery on any computer or device with a hard drive that may contain digital evidence.

The NFSIA grant program provides funding for programs designed to improve the quality, timeliness, and credibility of forensic science services for criminal justice purposes.
