Operating income for the quarter was $135.38 million or $1.00 per share. On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.79 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues increased to $1.71 billion from $1.51 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $1.64 billion.
