Yoga guru Baba Ramdev is facing tough times. Days after he was in news for allegedly discussing money with a BJP Lok Sabha candidate on camera, he has been under the Congress fire for allegedly turning his yoga camps into political campaign platforms.

This time Alwar Congress candidate Jitendra Singh has complained to the state election commission (SEC) to ensure his yoga camps are not misused for political purposes. Maintaining that Ramdev is spewing venom against senior Congress leaders such as UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at the press meets during these camps, he has asked the SEC to intervene.

According to reports, Ramdev had recently organised 'Deeksha Evam Rashtra Nirman' in the Alwar constituency at different places. Singh has accused Ramdev of indirectly campaigning for BJP candidate Mahant Chandnath by asking voters to help the party make Narendra Modi prime minister.

While the district officials have sent a report to the SEC, Ramdev has reportedly told a daily that being a citizen, he can "express his feelings" about the candidates.

Earlier, the yoga guru had been caught on TV camera murmuring to BJP candidate Mahant Chandnath not to talk about money when the microphones were on after the latter told him that he was running short of money during electioneering in Alwar constituency.

Meanwhile, an FIR has been lodged against Ramdev in Fetehpur in UP for alleged violation of the model code of conduct and prohibitory orders by holding a press meet without the permission of the administration.
