ALLAHABAD: Headquarters Central Air Command, Bamrauli is gearing up to welcome Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha PVSM AVSM VM ADC Chief of the Air staff who will be here on his maiden visit after taking over as Chief of the Air Staff, on April 21.
CAS is being accompanied by Lily Raha, president, Air Force Wives' Welfare Association (AFWWA). They will be received by Air Marshal J Chauhan PVSM AVSM VSM ADC Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, CAC and Harminder Chauhan, President AFWWA (Regional) at Bamrauli Airport.

An experienced fighter pilot with 3,400 hours of flying experience, the Air Chief has held various important operational, staff and training assignments, both within and outside India. He has commanded a fighter squadron and two frontline air bases along India's western front. He has also held the position of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of two operational Commands and the Vice Chief of the Air staff before becoming the 24th Chief of the Air staff.
Air Chief Marshal Raha has been the AOC-in-C of CAC during 2011-12. During his visit, the Air Chief would address the personnel of HQ CAC and interact with the Commanders of Stations under CAC, and review various ongoing operational infrastructure development projects. He would also attend various social functions organized in his honour.
During this visit, Lily Raha would preside over the Board of Management (BoM) meeting of AFWWA (regional) and will hold discussions with Harminder Chauhan, president AFWWA (regional) to review various AFWWA run welfare activities. She will also attend a meeting with Sanginis. Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha and Lily Raha would leave for Delhi on April 22.
