Ford’s Mustang, Lincoln to herald return
FORD aims to make a comeback to the China premium market with its classic Mustang pony car and the prestigious Lincoln brand named after an American president.
Having been absent from China’s premium car market since it sold Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo, the Mustang and Lincoln made a big splash at the ongoing Auto China show in Beijing.
Ford will bring the All-New Mustang to China early next year after taking this iconic model of an American muscle car global for the first time this year during its 50th anniversary. It plans to launch two Lincoln models in China this autumn and five by 2016 as part of the brand’s worldwide revival.
