Ostrava, Czech Republic (SportsNetwork.com) - Petra Kvitova beat Roberta Vinci in Sunday's reverse singles match to send the Czech Republic to the Fed Cup final.

Kvitova converted half of her eight break-point chances while saving nine of the 11 she faced in the 6-3, 7-5 victory that gave the Czechs an insurmountable 3-0 lead in the best-of-five tie against defending champion Italy.

Vinci replaced Sara Errani, who had lost all six previous contests against Kvitova, but the swap didn't change the Italians' fate.

Kvitova had a 32-13 edge in winners during the one-hour, 30-minute match.

A second reverse singles match wasn't played with the outcome decided.

The doubles rubber, however, still took place and the Czech tandem of Andrea Hlavackova and Klara Koukalova beat the Italian pair of Camila Giorgi and Karin Knapp.

The Czech Republic, back-to-back Fed Cup champs in 2011 and 2012, will host the final against Germany in November.
