Nakheel issues tender for Boardwalk on Palm

Dubai's Nakheel has issued a tender for design and build of the Boardwalk and Piers at Palm Jumierah.

The work’s scope includes an elevated boardwalk above the rock revetment on the outer side of the Palm Jumeirah crescent (including associated modification works to the existing breakwater) and two piled deck piers including restaurant buildings.

The Boardwalk will extend along the entire length of the outer breakwater of the Palm Jumeirah’s crescent. The six-metre wide, 11-km-long pedestrian pathway will be a leisure and recreation destination for residents and tourist alike.

The Boardwalk will feature two 100 metres piers, stretching into the waters of the Gulf, with the piers each featuring a range of glass-encased cafes and restaurants.
