Why France is rediscovering a passion for tea

France has been rediscovering a passion for tea, and there has been a recent boom in high-quality tea sales.

French tea brands are also expanding rapidly around the world.

In fact, although it may be more well-known for coffee-drinking, France has an old tradition of tea-drinking, but in past it was the preserve of the wealthy and the aristocracy.

Franck Desains, the director of Mariage Freres, spoke to BBC News about why tea is catching on again.
