While locals enjoyed their Easter holidays at My Suva Picnic Park, tourists also got an opportunity to benefit from the beautiful park which creates a relaxing atmosphere.
A family from Toronto, Canada was among the crowd spending quality time at the park yesterday and enjoying the special facilities.
Ted Hodge and his family are in the country for two weeks on a study visit.
“We love Fiji; this our second time here but it is our first time in Suva and are able to benefit from the Suva picnic park,” Mr Hodge said.
“The park is lovely and very relaxing for families and the weather is so warm and beautiful here when compared to Canada at this point in time.”
Mr Hodge said it was winter back home and they had escaped from the snow to spend their holiday as well as finish their faith study here at the Christadelphian Church in Nabua.
“It is so good to see families and friends getting together for holidays such as Easter where they come out in numbers and spend time together,” Mr Hodge said.
“Back at home, it is so different where everyone prefers to be on their own.
“Everything is so different in Fiji and this is one thing that I enjoy the most on my visit.”
He said during Easter everyone should read and understand the teachings about the importance of the days.
“Read the messages of Jesus Christ and the reason for his sacrifice and look forward for his return to Earth,” Mr Hodge said.
