CPI (ML) to support AAP candidate in Varanasi
PURNIA: CPI (ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya on Saturday announced here that his party will support AAP candidate Arwind Kejriwal in Varanasi.
Bhattacharya, who was in the town to campaign for the CPI (ML) candidate from Purnia Pankaj Singh said party workers will work for AAP candidate in Varanasi to ensure defeat of BJP's Narendra Modi. He regretted the entire election has been converted into Narendra Modi versus the rest which was dangerous for democracy.
Like the emergency days, an atmosphere of 'Indira is India' has been created as the BJP is engaged in projecting only Narendra Modi who has hijacked the party. BJP is Narendra Modi, he said.
Bhattacaharya said the BJP has also started projecting Modi as God through its 'Har Har Modi..' slogans and issues have become irrelevant and Modi has become the core issue in the elections. He said the party is against both UPA and NDA hence oppose their candidates in the 2014 elections.
