Chandigarh, April 19
Punjab is set to witness five Bollywood actors, including Shatrughan Sinha, Anil Kapoor and Sunny Deol, drum up support for SAD-BJP candidates next week.

Two sons of BJP's Gurdaspur candidate Vinod Khanna — Rahul and Akshaye Khanna — are also slated to canvass for their father.

Film stars such as Vivek Oberoi, Kirron Kher, Preeti Sapru and cricketer Gautam Gambhir have already campaigned for Akali-BJP candidates. Shatrughan Sinha, who is contesting from the Patna Sahib constituency in Bihar, has reached Amritsar to canvass for Arun Jaitley.

"In the next few days, Anil Kapoor and two star sons of Vinod Khanna will canvass in Gurdaspur," said BJP state president Kamal Sharma. Modi will address rallies in Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot and Amritsar on April 25. Sources say Sunny Deol will also campaign for Akali candidates in the coming days, although the date is not yet finalised.

The Congress is relying on its party president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi's charisma. Rajinder Kaur Bhattal said Sonia would address a rally at Barnala in Sangrur on April 26. "On April 28, Ghulam Nabi Azad will address rallies," she said.
