Wu-Tang Clan Member Andre Johnson Attempts Suicide

Former Wu-Tang Clan associate and member Andre Johnson better known by his stage name Andre Roxx attempted to kill himself in quite a disturbing fashion. The rapper allegedly cut off his penis before trying to kill himself by jumping from a second story balcony.

The suicide attempt happened during the early hours of Wednesday at Johnson’s North Hollywood apartment. While the rapper was quite seriously injured he did not die and was urgently transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical attention. Unconfirmed sources at the scene declared that the ambulance crew managed to retrieve Johnson’s severed penis. It is yet unclear if doctors at Cedars Sinai can re-attach his severed member or not. There is also no word on the reason behind the heinous suicide attempt.

Johnson was also known by the stage name Christ Bearer, with a music video that he shot along with Rugged Monk for the song “Oooh!” being uploaded to YouTube just a day before his suicide attempt.

While Johnson was identified by most media outlets as a member or affiliate of the Wu-Tang Clan, the rap group’s official website posted a message distancing the group from the troubled rapper.

The same post attempts to clarify the issue claiming that while Andre Johnson was discovered and signed by Wu-Tang Clan member RZA in 1998, he is not currently associated with the rap group.
