Seeded players sailed smoothly on the opening day of the U-19 Nagpur District Open Boys and Girls Selection Chess tournament, organized by the Nagpur District Chess Association, at the Neighbourhood Recreational Centre, Opposite SBI, Surendra Nagar, here on Friday.

NAGPUR: Seeded players sailed smoothly on the opening day of the U-19 Nagpur District Open Boys and Girls Selection Chess tournament, organized by the Nagpur District Chess Association, at the Neighbourhood Recreational Centre, Opposite SBI, Surendra Nagar, here on Friday.
In the boys section, Shubham Lakudkar, Sharang Kapoor, Atharva Bhajne, Raunak Sadhwani shared the lead with three points each at the end of the third round.

Top seed Shweta Gole is in joint lead with three others with two points apiece in the girls category.
RESULTS
U-19 boys (Round 3): Rutwik Palaskar (2) lost to Shubham Lakudkar (3), Sharang Kapoor (3) bt Pushkar Chouganjkar (3), Atharva Bhajne (3) bt Swayam Aalewad (2), Yash Taori (2.5) drew with Ameya Shrivastava (2.5), Raunak Sadhwani (3) bt Sushrut Joshi (2).
U-19 girls (Round 2): Shweta Gole (2) bt Aditi Patel (1), Gurleen Chawla (1) lost to Divya Garg (2), Divya Deshmukh (2) bt Vidhi Barsinge (1), Narayani Adane (0) lost to Vaishnavi Gole (2), Rashi Wairagade (0) lost to Eesha Sarda (1), Samruddhi Shende (0) lost to Anushka Kohle (1), Riya Verma (1) get a bye.
