It’s interesting how the story idea struck Shivangi.
“Mr Kher asked me to buy something that he could gift De Niro during the shoot of Silver Linings Playbook. That set me thinking, ‘Why can’t I write a film on my experience?’” she says.
On his return from the shoot, she presented Kher with the script. “It blew me away and I felt it was worthy of being the maiden venture of Actor Prepares Productions,” recalls Kher, who ensured that he captured the realistic flavour of the events, including indulging in guerrilla shooting.
