19 Apr 2014|3,438 views
The facelifted Touareg made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show with a host of revamps, including new safety features and refreshed front and rear styling.
The new front end now sports larger headlamps, with bi-xenon headlamps offered as standard across the entire range.
To give the Touareg a wider stance, the radiator grille is now deeper, with four instead of two horizontal fins, as well as a reprofiled bumper. Likewise, the rear end is redesigned for a wider look.
The base Touareg retains the 3.0-litre V6 TDI with 201bhp, while the previous 241bhp unit has been tweaked to churn out 254bhp.
To further enhance fuel efficiency, the flagship SUV will get low rolling resistance tyres, stop/start and battery regeneration systems as standard.
Both V6 TDI diesel engines also comply to the EU6 emissions standard.
