With summer back in its glory, international runways were rife with sexy swimwear, as models sizzled down the catwalk in itsybitsy swimsuits. From the recently concluded Shanghai Fashion Week to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia and Fashion Rio in Rio de Janeiro, a variety of styles were on display, offering something for every body type.

Models flaunted their toned beach bodies in a wide range of designs, with printed separates in pastel tones taking the lead amongst designers. Perfect for the outdoors, swimwear in shades of blue and gold tones were a recurring trend. However, it's Indian prints such as the paisley and jamawar inspired textures that made an impact on the catwalk once again.

Accessories such as turbans, robes and strappy shoes were also given the ethnic treatment, with beads and tassels adding extra elements of style. Sun and sand aside, Indian prints and fabrics made waves across the globe with major fashion houses paying homage to desi designs.
