Film on Bettanagere Seena dropped?

Sumanth Shailendra Babu and Akshay were roped in to star in an upcoming Kannada film on the life of notorious rowdy, Bettanagere Seena. But now, if sources are to be believed, the film has been dropped halfway through, due to certain differences that cropped up during its making.
Seena is said to have been involved in several murders, including that of former JD(S) leader BML Krishnappa. He was killed in a police encounter in 2012, and the film is said to be based on the life and deeds of Seena.The first schedule of the movie was canned, but some differences seem to have cropped up, which are not clear at the moment. All that is known at present is that shooting is not likely to resume any time soon.
There was news that former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli had agreed to do a cameo in the film, but this proved to be a rumour.
