The trailer and songs of ‘2 States’ have also added fuel to fire, with abundant kissing and steamy scenes. Though both Alia and Arjun have said that the film is more than just the kissing, producer Karan Johar says that such scenes in trailers ensure a good opening for the film!

The film’s songs such as ‘Offo‘, ‘Locha-E-Ulfat, ‘Mast Magan‘, ‘Iski Uski‘ and ‘Chaandaniya‘, composed Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are already topping the charts.

The film’s supporting cast including the very talented Revathy, Amrita Singh and Ronit Roy, have also made a strong screen presence in the dialogue promos and trailers.

The film follows the love story of Tamilian Brahmin Ananya (Alia Bhatt) and Punjabi Krish (Arjun Kapoor) against all odds and cultural differences. The film is directed by Abhishek Varman.

Other releases of the day are comedy film ‘Dekh Tamasha Dekh’ by Feroz Abbas Khan starring Satish Kaushik and Ganesh Yadav and rom com ‘Lucky Kabootar’ by Shammi Chhabra starring Ravi Kishan, Eijaz Khan.
