BHOPAL: Congress, BJP and BSP candidates from Madhya Pradesh’s Morena were kept in police control room there amid intelligence inputs that they may trigger violence or capture booths during polling on Thursday.
Govind Singh, Anoop Mishra and Brind Singh were served snacks, tea and engaged in polite conversation amid rumours that they were detained from 9am-1 am. Later, they stayed at a local hotel till the close of the polling.

“They were served food and took rest. The BSP candidate left for his village to vote around 4.30 pm,” an official said.
Govind Singh denied he was detained. “Can they detain us? We spent time together. Media reports are false,” he said. Mishra said, “We enjoyed the hospitality of the administration.”
